Allocations and Grants
Philanthropy is defined as, “Love felt by an individual towards humankind. It is expressed through acts of generosity and charity and seeks to promote the greater happiness and prosperity of humanity."
We are a non-profit organization, sponsoring several
charity fundraising events throughout the year.
This enables us to give back to our community in the form of
scholarships and donations to local non-profit organizations.
The Allocations and Grants Committee visited Christ's Haven for Children, one of our 2010 grant recipients. Christ's Haven has about 40 school-age children on campus. We had the opportunity to visit with one of the house moms who showed us her Home where she is taking care of several boys. It was heart-warming to see the great work this organization is doing for children from difficult family circumstances. Please consider joining us for our next site visit to get a first-hand view of our grant funds in action. Stay tuned.

In 2009, TCWC donated over $26,000 to twenty one
different charitable organizations and in 2010 TCWC donated over
$28,000. Some of these charitable organizations include the Roanoke Food Pantry,
Metroport Meals on Wheels, DD Bray Foundation, SafeHaven,
