President's Post - Joyce Frey
I am so pleased to be serving this year as your President and to be working with such a talented group of officers; Kathy Carlton, Carol Jansen, Rebecca Freed, Janie Morton, Denise McCormack, Edwina Miles and Dianne Rabbe. The other group of women on the Board are Wanda Baham, Marion Hawker, Donna Felton, Sally Freeman, Jill Voelker, Maryann Dumbleton, Melanie Woods, Marsha Pyeatt and Alice Murphy. The range of experience, skills and talents assembled for this year are truly impressive. As a board we will bring you an exciting and rewarding experience as a member of TCWC. We are open to ideas, suggestions, assistance and even change!
Thanks to Marion Hawker and the Allocations and Grants Committee who did
the work of identifying which organizations would be the recipients of
the funds raised by TCWC through our charitable fund raising events:
Home Tour, Garage Sales, Tom, Thumb Good Neighbor Program and The
Resident Directory sales.
Looking back at the January Bunco Bash- KUDOS once again to Bunco Queen Victoria Herman for a marvelous event. Her hand decorated prizes were unique and much appreciated by the winners and as usual, enthusiastic cries of “Bunco” were heard frequently accompanied by much laughter. A favorite meal of delicious soup, salad and baked potato with many toppings was a big hit.
Excitement is in the air about our March 3rd scholarship fundraiser, Taste and Talent. Maryann Dumbleton, still needs some cooks to step up. See article.
Personal items of shampoo, lotion, soap, etc. (the things you may get at a hotel)and those free-with-purchase gifts from Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc. are much needed for the residents of SafeHaven, a home for battered women who often leave home with nothing and who have so little. A box is always available on Kathy Herigodt’s porch at 9 Avenue 20. Anna Saunders makes regular deliveries of these much needed items, so please check to see what you can drop off.
Thank you to everyone who brings a friend to meetings, welcomes a neighbor, belongs to our many fun activities, buys tickets for events, works on committees…. you are all wonderful women and we appreciate you.
Joyce

Trophy Club Resident Directories
The Resident Directory has been published as a community service to our residents for over 30 years now. It provides residents with local information about the immediate area. It includes names, addresses, phone/cell numbers, and email addresses of residents who wish to have their information in it.
The book contains advertisements to make it easier to find a church, realtor, restaurants, and other services in our local area. Also provided are names and phone numbers of city and state offices, a street Home, Trophy Club town map, local babysitters, numbers for NWISD school offices, and emergency numbers, as well as non-emergency numbers for appropriate offices.
Directories can be purchased for $15 at the TCMUD office; the TC First Financial Bank or from Donna Felton.
