Book Clubs

Critical Thinkers

Critical Thinkers' Book Club reads mostly non-fiction. Because authors can sometimes tell more "truth" through fiction, we occasionally read "instructive" fiction. Members take turns hosting the group and leading the discussion. Each hostess/discussion leader submits three book options for the group's consideration and the group votes on the final selection. We welcome new members and guests. Guests need not have read the book - just come and enjoy the always wide-ranging discussion! For more information about the group, please contact Carol Tombari at

October 5, 2018, 10:30 a.m. Book for October:  Stay With Me by Ayobami Adebayo.

This novel gives voice to both husband and wife as they tell the story of their marriage as threatened by infertility and polygamy.  It asks how much we can sacrifice for the sake of family.
